Abstract

The popular heritage is the basis of popular life, and it is one of the means of revealing the cultural values formulated by the traditional society. Any nation has a landmark of its national character, it is the vessel from which it derives its traditions and way of life, and it is one of the main pillars in the development process, and the basic component in shaping the personality, crystallizing the national identity and the popular heritage is the knowledge that was transmitted orally in general, so it included everything related to knowledge Popular customs, in addition to practices and superstitious beliefs, and with the presence of civilized cultures living side by side with the possibility of an intellectual link between each of them, and in light of the current successive changes of the era, the importance of the popular heritage is increasing, and a role in confirming our cultural privacy and national identity is emerging.
