CONTEMPORARY FORMULATIONS OF PORTRAIT ART TO CONFIRM THE EGYPTIAN IDENTITY IN THE FIELD OF CERAMIC SCULPTURE (APPLIED RESEARCH)

Abstract

This research raises the issue of confirming the Egyptian identity through the creation of works of art through which contemporary Egyptian art can be distinguished from the arts of any other nation. Where the aesthetics of the material and designs and the techniques of formation and coloring, and the problem of research lies in the lack of interest in presenting works about portraiture through the field of ceramic sculpture in Egypt more, therefore this research aims to present the art of portraiture through the field of ceramic sculpture, where through portraiture it is possible to express personal features Egyptian symbols and signs with heritage and contemporary connotations, and this research is an applied study on this topic that aims to enhance civilizational and cultural affiliation and consolidate the Egyptian identity by addressing the element of portraiture and its expressive capabilities that can be highlighted through the art of ceramic sculpture in a contemporary style. An artistic group of works of ceramic sculpture under the name (Portrait). It consists of ten works of ceramic sculpture.
