Abstract

Interactivity Concept has become fundamental to Dynamic Scenography involved in dramatic action, and has emerged in two forms " Physical Interactivity of Scenic Objects and Interactivity using New Media ". Robert Lepage is one of the most important Scenographers by presenting this method through his work. The Scenographic Elements interact with Dramatic Action according to a simultaneous motion plan with the movement of performers. He has employed New Technologies and Media to complement the Scenographic Image. This research reviews the concept of Interactive Scenography through Samples of contemporary Scenographers and distinct Lepage’s Scenography, with His own experiences and concept of interactive Scenography. The research aims to publicize the importance of interactive Scenography. The interactive Scenography is a new style of Stage set design expression through which the scenography is involved in the main performance. Hence, the research problem is to determine the impact of Lepage’s interactive scenography on the evolution of contemporary scenography since the beginning of the 21st century through multiple research methods: descriptive, analytical and case study
