CAIRO'S IDENTITY IN THE WORKS OF EGYPTIAN PAINTERS “Descriptive Analytical Study”

Abstract

This research aims to explore, examine and analyze some of the works of Egyptian artists in their handling of Cairo's identity by displaying some of their paintings, which dealt with several main axes represented in the traditional Egyptian neighborhood, the market, El mouled, the bean cart, and the Nile. In her presentation of these themes, the researcher analyzed the most important features of each of these elements, illustrating the vision of these artists when they creatively address Cairo’s unique identity, which ultimately reveals the general image of Cairo's unique identity among these artists.
The researcher also presented her vision for each of these elements and factors that represent the unique identity of the city of Cairo in order to achieve the objectivity of uniqueness and originality of creative artwork through the objective selection of these paintings through a holistic view of the identity and the city.
Thus, this study constitutes a basic vision of the concept of the identity of cities, and on top of these cities is the city of Cairo, with history, civilization, and originality, and is a scientific study that establishes the concept of identity and dedicates each city to its own identity and unique features in terms of humans, stone, time and place.
