CREATING AN INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE POST GRADUATE PROGRAM RELEVANT TO THE JOB MARKET DEMANDS

Abstract

The Faculty of Fine Arts mission is to prepare a strong grounding graduate, able to fulfill the market demands in order to support the development of the Egyptian society. This mission is the main reference in creating a distinguished academic graduate program, relevant to the current and the future job market demands. The new program is based on the assessment of the current undergraduate interior architecture program, concerning the academic area of designing residential interiors. The new academic program proposal considers the study of the intended learning outcomes in the current program and the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS) related to the graduate practical and professional skills, besides the qualifications and experiences of the teaching staff that meet teaching requirements . The proposed program aims to respond to specific requirements of the labor market, manage weaknesses of the current program, and align with the national 2030 Egyptian vision on the university academic education.
